Happy New Year everyone!

This guy was finished before Christmas and sent to as part of 's 2016 Secret Santa Art Doll Swap.

Nat said she loved foxes, wolves and cats and I decided I would try to go for a fox!  However, as I painted and added fur I realized he was looking less and less specific.  A little too thick for a fox.  I guess he could be a wolf?  I wanted to make him a weedling since it had been a while since I made him and that thick and fluffy fur was perfect!  

This doll was hand sculpted by me from polymer clay.  He has a poseable wire skeleton which is wrapped in batting to keep him soft and cuddly.  His head and paws are hand painted, and his body is hand sewn!  He features some spiky floral bits coming from his mane and haunches.  I'm pretty pleased with the result!  It was fun to get back to doll making after a long time.  Hoping to do more soon!

PS- Excuse the poor photos.  I was in a hurry to get him packed and shipped to arrive in time for Christmas.  I also really need to set up something nice to take photos of my dolls.  I feel it would make a big difference!
